- The Shou Sugi Ban timber frame is built with cedar timber beam and oak peg mortise and tenon for strength and power.
- Shou Sugi Ban is a traditional Japanese finish technique. The wood is scorched to preserve and strengthen the cedar timber. Each beam is burned, brushed, and finished by hand to produce a one of a kind finish. 
- The use of drawbored mortise and tenon, along with industrial brackets, add to the joints to withstand stresses to the frame during a workout. 
- The frame is wrapped with European 100% organic hemp rope.
- In the center of the load beam, a Crosby Bullard .5 ton closed swivel bail hook allows smooth trusted movement.
- Standard frame is approximately 8' tall and 4'6" wide from center support beam to L/R single support beam.

- Designed and built for corner applications. Frame is handcrafted of 4"x4" cedar timber beams.
** The boxing frame is free-standing. However, we do suggest that you anchor the top beams, side beams, or back beams to a stud in the wall to stabilze the unit. Anchor brackets are available. Anchor brackets sold separately. Securing the frame is the responsibility of the buyer.**
